Mid-South Trailer Sales

Mid-South Trailer Sales was founded by Gene Goan in 2002. He went to buy a Gore trailer for himself but was told the nearest dealership was in Lexington, Kentucky. When he suggested they needed a dealership in Alabama, he was told Gore Horse Trailers would love to have a dealer in Alabama. He then made a trip to Whitville, North Carolina to speak with Mr. Gore and visit the factory.

After this meeting Gene bought thirteen trailers instead of one and set up the first Gore Horse Trailer dealership in North Alabama.

In 2006 Gene partnered with Larry Underwood and took on 2 more trailer lines. They were Hart and Merhow. Together with Gore, these 3 brands have been in business for 47, 40, and 51 years respectively and represent the pinnacle of modern horse trailer technology.

Mid-South Trailer Sales has the ability, unique in the area, to offer custom configurations of horse

trailers completely on site. We can even provide customizations for living quarters to meet any customer’s needs. We also offer a full service facility for both horse trailers and other recreational vehicles.

The overall philosophy at Mid-South is to treat every customer fairly, work hard to discover their needs, and give them the best deal possible.
